What advice would you offer to new attorneys interested in your field?

My advice to new attorneys interested in practicing employment law is to cast a wide net and find the area of employment law that most interests you, and the people with whom you work best, as early as possible. Finding the area of law that you most enjoy not only helps ensure that you will enjoy the practice of law, but also allows you to develop an expertise and become a go-to person for all questions related to that area. This is one of the best ways to become indispensable to a firm or practice group.
