What advice would you offer to new attorneys interested in your field?

The idea of speaking in court can be very intimidating for new attorneys. I strongly suggest that aspiring litigators attend court proceedings to watch other attorneys, and they should consider joining their law school’s mock trial or moot court board. Also, young attorneys should seek organic mentorship relationships, whether inside or outside of their place of employment. Every mentorship relationship has a unique value, and good mentors can provide the guidance, direction, and support that can be instrumental in creating a successful career.
